M2 Garand (1944-1956)

When the first models of the Sturmgewehr 44 appeared, U.S. commanders thought their own troops needed a full auto rifle. Development was rushed forward and the M2 Garand was the finished product. Featuring a 20 round box magazine the M2 first had only single and full auto fire selections. Problems arose though from the lack of accuracy in full auto. Future models were given a three round burst feature in addition to the full auto. The M2 saw limited service during the end of the war but was the standard rifle of the U.S. Army till its replacement in 1956.

Anyway this is basically an alternate M14 rifle. An automatic M1 Garand with a box magazine (stolen from the BAR) and a different front based on a real experimental weapon the T37.
