The thing that puzzles me the most is why you're so afraid to have a simple ordinary conversation with me. I get that you don't want to debate politics (or whatever else) and that's fine. But you can't even tell me what your issue with me is? Even when you gave your word to be a mediator between me and Kajm?
Do I need to point out that you shouldn't give your word to do something that you can't or won't do?
Honestly, you come and ask me to block Kajm, knowing full well that I don't block people on principle and that Kajm had already blocked me. I ask you why and get no answer. You complain about me commenting on group journals that Kajm wrote. I ask if you're telling me to stay off the group journal and you say, "Well, no..." and... nothing.
It's ironic that you like to style yourself as a general when good communications is the most fundamental of leadership skills.
Do you recall when you told me that some things that are true can't be proven? At the time I was rather taken aback by that statement and wasn't sure how to respond to it. Speaking in terms of epistemology, it's true. No system of thinking is perfect or can infallibly give you the correct conclusion. Mathematical incompleteness is a fact of life.
But practically speaking it's complete bullshit. We all use reason, whether we call it that or not. We all have reasons for what we say, think and do. Even people with severe mental illness and clinical psychosis have reasons for what they do, even if those reasons don't make sense to anyone else.
So claiming that an idea is beyond the reach of reason is simply an excuse. It's an admission that your reasons for embracing it are not going to be convincing to anyone else, and that you're afraid of examining those reasons because you know perfectly well that idea will never stand up to critical examination. You know you can't defend the idea, are unwilling to give it up, and are afraid of being called on it. This is a form of special pleading, asking that everyone please give you a pass.
The ironic thing is that I don't particularly have a problem with that. If you don't want to discuss topic X with me (or anyone else) then just don't talk about it.
What I don't understand is how that fear has turned into a complete terror of having even the simplest conversation with me.
And before you indignantly proclaim your lack of fear, I will remind you that actions speak louder than words. And you're still running away from answering one very simple and reasonable question: why you blocked me from the group without warning or apparent cause.
So, you take offense at being called a coward. But look at how you act. Whenever you encounter a social situation that's too difficult you label it "drama" and act as if it's beneath you just long enough that you feel you have an excuse to run away.
